Who can take CBD? Is it safe?
While we cannot give advice on who can take CBD, studies show that CBD is generally well-tolerated and considered safe.* Since the most commonly reported goals and results of taking CBD products are more calm and focus, relief from exercise-induced inflammation, reduced joint pain and stiffness, healthier sleep cycles, and relief from general everyday stress, anyone looking for balance in these areas might benefit.* Our customers consist of adults of all ages, children, and even pets! Are there any potential side effects to using CBD products? Even though CBD is generally well-tolerated and considered safe*, it’s always a good idea to consult with your physician before adding any supplement into your health and wellness regimen. The most commonly reported potential side effects of hemp-derived CBD products are drowsiness, lethargy, lowered blood pressure, dry mouth, and lightheadedness. As with any other supplement, there is a chance that it could cause adverse reactions for some people, and/or could interact with certain medications.** Consult your physician before use if you are pregnant, nursing, have or suspect a medical condition, or are taking any medications. How do I take CBD? Which product should I choose? This is entirely up to you. We recommend doing some research so you are able to make an informed choice. Some customers feel like they get great results from tinctures or capsules, while others prefer topical or transdermal methods, like liniments or CBD massage oils. Many people like to use an assortment of products throughout their day. We offer a variety of products and administration methods so customers can find a product that is the right fit for their needs and lifestyle. How much should I take? While we are not doctors, we can offer a few suggestions:
How soon will it work? Just like starting any new wellness regimen, results are usually seen after a few days or weeks of continued use. Many customers report noticing a difference after a few days or even a couple of weeks, and some people experience deep relief right away. This is especially true for our topical products such as the FDA registered CBD Clinic™ analgesic ointments and creams. One person who recently tried the Level 3 Muscle & Joint Pain cream said, “It took about 20 minutes, but the relief came!” What does it feel like? Each body is different, so everyone will have a different response. Most people report feelings of calm and/or focus that helps them seize the day and achieve optimal wellness. Some people feel energized or focused and others feel at ease or restful after using CBD products. Many people mention a feeling of relaxation and focus.* It’s important to remember that CBD will not have any euphoric effects and you will not experience a traditional “high” that is associated with THC products. Most people report feelings of relaxation, calm, and focus that helps them function and feel better. While CBD doesn’t help everyone, we have many customers who return regularly for reorders. The only way you’ll really know if it will help you is to try it! **As always, we suggest you consult your doctor or medical practitioner if you have specific questions or concerns. Some medications may interact with CBD, similar to how grapefruit does with certain prescription drugs. |
Certificate of Analysis (COA) When purchasing CBD products, make sure the company you’re buying from is reputable, and provides a third-party testing Certificates of Analysis (COA) on all their products to prove potency and purity. A COA is a report that confirms the levels of CBD, THC, and other compounds in a hemp product. This report will ensure that you are receiving a pure product that contains what is on the label and that the product was made from industrial hemp with less than 0.3% THC content. All of the products we use and sell have a COA and are made from USA-grown, organically-farmed hemp plants. Industrial hemp is a bioaccumulator, meaning it absorbs chemicals and heavy metals from the soil. This is one of the reasons why it is so important to choose reputable suppliers who provide a COA and only use organically-grown hemp.
What type of extraction process do you use for your CBD products? Most of our CBD products are made through CO2 extraction or using a mix of CO2- and IPA-extracted cannabinoids. Both processes produce high-quality products. None of our products are extracted using hexane or butane. All of the CBD products we use and sell are grown and manufactured according to the highest standards of quality, purity, and consistency, with respect to the land, the plants, and the final product we consume. All of the companies we source our products from are in the process of achieving official USDA Organic Certification. Our suppliers always provide third-party testing Certificates of Analysis (COA) on our products to prove potency and show proof of no residual solvents or pesticides in the final product. Our products are currently tested for: Potency, Heavy Metals, Residual Solvents, Aflatoxins, and Microbial Contaminants. |
